With CallisonRTKL - 11th Olive is a 600’ tall residential apartment tower, comprising of 536 units. Whilst generally speaking a conventional tower on podium scheme, the brief from the client of creating an iconic moment, allows the curved sculptural form of the tower to create not only a silhouette identity on the skyline - but also sets itself apart from the generic box extruded products currently fighting for the affluent South Park rental market.

 The curved form comes to the ground at the corner of 11th and Olive, at its widest point cantilevering almost 10’-0” above the sidewalk. Generous corner balconies, oversized at around 12’ x 8’ allow outdoor dining for the 2br corner units to take full advantage of the California weather and views from this corner of Downtown. Located at the edge of South Park, the tower, close to CRTKL’s Oceanwide, will bookmark the downtown skyline and by highly visible from the 10 freeway, the main approach from the Westside into Downtown.

 Ground floor retail, a leasing boutique and paseo connecting another of the clients neighboring properties will help create a viable neighborhood.
